My friend was excited to send her son, who she adopted from foster care, to a private Montessori school. The school expelled him after less than a month, at 4 years old. Why? He has ADHD. Private schools don’t help kids with disabilities. Meanwhile, my neurodivergent son is thriving in public schools. Both of these boys have high IQs, and both needed public schools, the schools that serve the kids with the highest needs.
As a retired Ohio teacher this is just disgusting and sickening. I have greatgrandchilden in elementary school. One of them is special needs and on an IEP. I can imagine the educational destruction that is ahead. Parents with financial means and common sense will leave the state. If SB 1 is signed into law college students will go to Blue states for their higher education. In the end, Red states are going to lose.
Pushing one more thing to state control. Soon we will have zero need for a federal government because we will just be 50 separate and sovereign places - maybe we would have the AU (American Union) like the EU. This just throws more chaos into our lives when there are different rules and standards for different states. After all, we've done so well with women's reproductive rights (sarcasm for those who don't hear it). Wasn't it Marjorie Taylor Greene who said we should have blue states and red states - two Americas? What a cluster***k
Oh please. An “attack on education”? What about the “education” being an attack on our children. Political social engineering, social and gender experimentation, Federal totalitarian tactics on, oh, just about anything and everything that disagrees with their totalitarian mandates? Handing money directly to some of these governors makes me squirm a bit, not because it’s not a good idea, but because of the corruption of some of these governors. As long as the people keep a close eye on the money trails and these governors keep it transparent. And as far as programs for the impoverished? Trump said those will be kept in place, hopefully reformed to include just the impoverished and challenged, not the whole damn student population, because we don’t want anyone feeling bad.

First hand Lady.
Where do you get this information? It is ridiculous.
The governor of Iowa is Reynolds, not McCarthy
